You are direct, you call out what needs to be called out in the best way possible, and you know your stuff. You are so insightful, with years of experience in the field and I was able to learn so much from you during our conversation. People, especially people who look like you, need to see you in this space, having the touch conversations with people from all walks of life. It's inspiring, you are someone to look up to and the energy you gave shined through.
Seeing you take up space the way that you did unapologetically only drives me to want to continue to do so myself. Sometimes it's extremely hard and intimidating to do so in predominantly white spaces, but when you have someone who represents what you look like doing the work, it makes others want to do the same. There is power in numbers, and we need more people to be loud and proud about what needs to be happening in the workplace. It was also nice to hear you call out how important it is to have buy-in from ALL levels of the organization. I often hear that you need just the c-suite, but I agree that it takes everyone from the top down to prioritize these topics.
